I was a 400 and 800 meter runner on the ALHS Tigers track team and also ran track in college. I have been a recreational runner all of my life running many 10K’s, 5K’s and Grandma’s Marathon (one marathon was enough). I began running track again in 2015 and am currently training for the 2021 Master’s Track and Field outdoor season with five summer track meets held in Minneapolis. I plan to run the 100, 200, 400 and 800 meters in the Men’s 60-64 age group. The new Albert Lea track is a modern “state of the art” smooth and soft running surface and I hope c o m m u n i t y members will join me this summer at Jim Gustafson field.
